LTC4317IDHC#PBF

LTC4317 is a dual I²C/SMBus address translator. It enables the hardwired address of one or more I²C or SMBus device to be translated to a different address. This allows device with the same hardwired address to coexist on the same bus. Only discrete resistors are needed to select the new address and no software programming is required. Upto 127 different address translations are available. It incorporates a pass-through mode which disables the address translation and allows general call addressing by the host. It is designed to automatically recover from abnormal bus conditions like bus stuck low or premature STOP bits. It is widely used in applications such as I²C, SMBus address expansion, address translation, servers, telecom etc.

• Resistor configurable address translation
• No software programming required, input supply range is 2.25V to 5.5V
• Compatible with SMBus, I²C and I²C fast mode
• Pass-through mode allows general call addressing
• ±4KV HBM ESD ruggedness, input supply current is 0.8mA typical at (ENABLE = 3.3V)
• Level translation for 2.5V, 3.3V and 5V buses
• Stuck bus timeout, support bus hot swap
• Prevents SDA and SCL corruption during live board insertion and removal
• Operating temperature is -40°C to 85°C
• Package style is 16-lead plastic DFN
