Product Overview
PVA1354NSPBF is a PVA13 series single-pole, normally-open, HEXFET® power MOSFET photovoltaic relay. It serves as a solid-state replacement for electromechanical relays in general-purpose switching of analogue signals. Utilizing International Rectifier's HEXFET power MOSFET as the output switch, it is driven by an integrated circuit photovoltaic generator of novel construction. The output switch is controlled by radiation from a GaAlAs light-emitting diode (LED), which is optically isolated from the photovoltaic generator. This relay overcomes the limitations of both conventional electromechanical and reed relays by offering the solid-state advantages of long life, fast operating speed, low pick-up power, bounce-free operation, low thermal offset voltages, and a miniature package. Applications include process control, data acquisition, test equipment, multiplexing, and scanning.

- 5mA input sensitivity, 4,000VRMS I/O isolation
- Insulation resistance - input-output at 90VDC is 10¹²ohm (25°C - 50% RH)
- Maximum capacitance - input-output is 1.0pF, control current range from 2.0 to 25mA(DC)
- 8-pin DIP package, operating ambient temperature range from -40 to +85°C
