Product Overview
FSS010WNSB is a FSS series low profile force sensor. It provides precise, reliable force sensing performance in a compact, commercial-grade package at a cost effective price. The sensor features a proven sensing technology that uses a specialized piezoresistive, micromachined silicon sensing element. The low power, unamplified, uncompensated Wheatstone bridge circuit design provides inherently stable mV outputs over the force range. Application includes medical (infusion pumps, ambulatory non-invasive pumps, kidney dialysis machines, enteral pumps), industrial (load and compression sensing, variable tension control, robotic end-effectors, wire bonding equipment).
- Force range of 0N to 10N
- ±0.5BFSL linearity, 3.9mV/V/N max sensitivity
- ±0.2% span repeatability
- 28µm plunger deflection, 0.5ms max response time (10 %FS to 90 %FS), 30N over force
- 6Kohm max input resistance and 6Kohm max output resistance
- Small size minimizes space on the printed circuit board (PCB)
- Provides enhanced sensitivity without compromising signal integrity
- Electrical ratiometric O/P accommodate supply voltage variation, leading to low ratiometricity error
- Low voltage supply allows for used in many battery powered applications
- Sensor output has low sensitivity to many mounting stresses
