Product Overview
HMC939ALP4E is a 5bit digital attenuator with a 31dB attenuation control range in 1 dB steps. It offers optimum insertion loss, attenuation accuracy, and input linearity over the specified frequency range from 100MHz to 33GHz. The HMC939ALP4E requires dual supply voltages, VDD = +5V and VSS = −5V, and provides CMOS-/TTL-compatible parallel control interface by incorporating an on-chip driver. Application includes test instrumentation, microwave radios and very small aperture terminals (VSATs), military radios, radars, electronic countermeasures (ECMs), and broadband telecommunications systems.

- Return loss is 10dB (typ, RF1 and RF2 pins, all attenuation states, 0.1GHz to 33GHz)
- Relative phase is 45Degrees (typ, 0.1 to 18GHz, VDD = 5V, VSS = -5V,VCTL = 0V or VDD,TCASE = 25°C)
- Rise and fall time is 45ns (typ, 10% to 90% of RF output, TCASE = 25°C)
- 0.1dB compression input linearity is 20dBm (typ, 0.1GHz to 0.5GHz, typ, TCASE = 25°C)
- 4.5mA typical positive supply current (VDD = 5V, VSS = -5V, VCTL = 0V or VDD, TCASE = 25°C)
