Product Overview
HMC346ALP3E is an absorptive voltage variable attenuator (VVA). It features an on-chip reference attenuator for use with an external op-amp to provide simple single voltage attenuation control, 0 to -5V. Typical application includes basestation infrastructure, fibre optics and broadband telecom, microwave radio and VSAT, military radios, radar, and ECM, test instrumentation.

- Insertion loss is 2.6dB (typ, DC - 10GHz, TA = +25°C, 50 Ohm system)
- Attenuation range is 30dB (typ, DC - 10GHz, TA = +25°C, 50 Ohm system)
- Return loss is 10dB (typ, DC - 14GHz, TA = +25°C, 50 Ohm system)
- Switching characteristics is 8ns (typ, tRISE, tFALL (10/90% RF))
- Input power for 0.25dB compression (0.5 -14GHz) is +10dBm (typ, min. Atten, TA = +25°C)
- Input third order intercept (0.5 - 14GHz) (two-tone input power = -8dBm each tone) is +30dBm (typ)
- LFCSP-EP-16 package, operating temperature range from -40 to +85°C
