AMBERGREASE SIL, 100G

Amber grease SIL is a high quality, pure silicone grease which is water repellent and non-melting, prevents moisture ingress. As an anti-tracking, anti-arcing coating, it will protect electrical systems. It can also be used as a multipurpose lubricating agent. It has many uses in electrical and chemical industries. It is insoluble in water, alcohol, diluted acids and alkalis, taste free, odourless and non-toxic. Withstands marine environments. Typical applications include Electrical servicing (Anti-tracking, anti-corona discharge coating, Waterproofing all types of electric systems, Protection of switch gear, distributors, Easing cables into conduits), Lubrication of (Instruments subjected to high or low temperatures, Centrifuge and autoclave lid seals, Cold room trolley castors, Conditioning devices, Conveyor chains, Glass and ceramic stop-cocks and glands), O-ring and rubber seal assembly (Pneumatic, automotive and compressed air systems, Plastic plumbing systems).

• Colourless and odourless smooth, translucent grease
• 2 Grade (NLGI)
• 200 - 260mm/10 penetration (unworked)
• Dielectric strength (IEC 243-1) of 15.4KV/mm
• Volume resistivity (IEC3) is 1.4 x 10˄15 ohm.mm
• Dielectric loss is 0.0018 at 1KHz and TEC250 0.0022 at 1MHz
• Water washout at 38°C - (ASTM D 1264) is 2% maximum
• Operating temperature range from -40°C to +200°C (220°C intermittently)

Product may be stored at normal ambient temperatures and has a shelf life of not less than 3 years with correct storage.
