Product Overview

The RPS250 series from Vishay are thick film power resistors designed to be mounted onto a heat-sink. It is developed for specific applications such as railroad electrical traction and this can bear short overloads as high as fifteen times the nominal power. This power resistor has cermet resistive element, alumina onto aluminium base substrate and exhibits remarkable characteristics.
  • Resistance range from 0.24ohm to 1Mohm
  • Available in ±10%, ±5%, ±2% and ±1% tolerance
  • Temperature coefficient is ±150ppm/°C
  • Insulated case and resin for potting UL94V-0
  • Operating temperature range from -55°C to 125°C
  • Rated power of 250W, limiting element voltage is 5KV
  • Low thermal radiation of the case
  • Easy mounting, high overloaded capability up to 4 times nominal power
  • High voltage, high power resistor
