Product Overview

The MCP401XEV is a evaluation board allows the system designer to quickly evaluate the operation of MCP40D18 digital potentiometer device. This device is similar to the following devices MCP40D17/19 and MCP4017/18/19. The board uses the SC70EV generic PCB and has been populated for the MCP40D18. The 6 pin header (PICkit Serial) has been jumpered to the MCP40D18's appropriate pins. This allows the PICkit serial to communicate with the device.
  • MCP40D18-103AE/LT is installed (I2C address of 7Ch)
  • 0R resistors connect MCP40D18 VDD and VSS signals to the appropriate power or ground plane
  • Footprints for optional passive components
  • Silk screen area to write specifics of implemented circuit such as MCP4018 10kR
  • PICkit serial analyser/PICkit 2 programming
  • Can be used for SC70 or SOT23 to DIP 8 converter
