Farnell Europe Wins Top Award
Farnell Europe has scooped the 'Distributor of the Year Award' at this year's European Electronics Industry Awards (Elektra).
The award was announced on the 1st December, at a huge award ceremony held at the Lancaster London Hotel in front of industry leading suppliers, competitors and electronics media.
Farnell was recognised for outstanding achievement, web innovation and leadership. The award was collected by Farnell's Andy King, President of Farnell Europe & Global Head of EDE.
"To win Distributor of the Year is a great achievement and one I am very proud of! To be recognised more specifically for our web innovation and leadership is testimony to the continual improvements we are making to our customer's online experience and Farnell's web offering as a whole," said Andy King.

Farnell wins Panasonic Demand Creation Award
Farnell, the leading multi-channel distributor, has received Panasonic's Demand Creation Award 2008 for Passive components. The two companies have enjoyed a relationship that extends to over 10 years during which Farnell has successfully leveraged Panasonic's strong brand name and market-leading product range to a widening customer base.
Panasonic's Demand Creation Award 2008 was presented to Neil Harrison, Managing Director, Farnell by PIE President Mr. Katsuhiko Otomo. EPCOS Web Sales Award 2008
This award distinguishes the outstanding sales results and continuing growth achieved by Farnell, particularly for items offered solely via the Internet. Farnell was the only company to receive this award that also commends their participation in innovative schemes such as the new EPCOS Inductor Sample Program.

ROHM Semiconductor Innovation Award for Multichannel Marketing 2008
The award was presented in recognition of Farnell's growth in emerging markets like Eastern Europe which enable electronic design engineer's quick access to products via the web, the ability to speak with sales and technical support representatives in their native language and next day delivery on most items.
